Sublime Point -- through relatively little known outside the local area -- is one of the most spectacular lookouts in the Upper Blue Mountains. It's comparatively easy to access and is even partly wheelchair accessible.
The purpose of this cache placement is to take you nearly to Sublime Point, which at the lookout provides 270 degree views over the Jamison Valley, towards Kings Tableland and the local sacred mountain 'Korowal' (AKA Mt. Solitary). It's an excellent place to to go and watch the sunset over the Three Sisters to the west. You can also use the shelter and nearby tables for a picnic.
(There's another excellent geocache right at the Point itself, only 170 metres away from this one!)
From the tourist brochure:
"The natural wonders of Leura can be discovered via the many walks. A great place to start is Sublime Point Road. Here you will find one of the world’s most spectacular golf courses as well as the popular Fairmont Resort. At the other end of Sublime Point Road is Sublime Point. At 900m above sea level, you are certain to stand in awe of the view from this point."
Parking should be very easy right at the end of Sublime Point Road. It's rarely crowded. Once in a while a camper van parks there (illegally) overnight. Sublime Point Road neighbours are relatively distant from GZ.
Please remember that you don't have to go into the National Park to find this geocache!
The cache is almost, but not quite, wheelchair accessible. (It's not on the path going down to the lookout.)
