Geocache Description:

The coordinates given for this cache are for the recommended parking NOT the cache.

This National Trust Trail will take you on a fact finding mission around our land around Blast Beach. It's just one of the caches we have placed along the part of the Durham Coast that we care for, so if you enjoy this one please check out the others.

The National Trust is a charity that protects special places in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, for ever, for everyone.

The Durham Coast has recovered from its industrial past to become one of the finest stretches of coastline in the country. The Magnesian Limestone that underlies the area gives rise to spectacular displays of rare wild-flowers in the summer while the steep sided denes that cut through the cliff are sheltered havens for all sorts of wildlife.

This multicache starts at the car park at Nose's Point and follows the coastal path along to Hawthorn Hive. If you do it in summer there are spectacular wild flower meadows to be enjoyed. Of course the fantastic views are there year round
