This cache has been archived.

Cuilcagh: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

This cache brings you to the Trevor Corry Memorial Obelisk in Newry City

The Trevor Corry Memorial is a memorial to a prominent Newry businessman, banker and magistrate was erected in 1877. It stands at the junction of Sandys Street and Trevor Hill. It was erected in 1877. The monument's design shows Egyptian influences.

The cache is a film canister camoed to match it's surroundings. It is secured in place using tiewraps. Please leave the cache container in place while retrieving the log. While it is in the small park area it is not attached to the monument itself. Ample parking is available roadside or there is a small carpark just past the garden. Park gate is locked each evening around 8pm. There is no closing times listed so this closing time could be earlier in the winter. My GPS was a little jumpy while placing this, if you are struggling the clue should help
