Once you have made it onto the inside walkways of the racetrack: a fairly easy to find cache hidden within the premises of Shanghai International Circuit (a race track, where among others the Formula 1 event takes place). Combine your search with some kart driving, if you like.
This is our first cache ever hidden.
Jiading District is located about 20km away from Shanghai downtown (People's Square). It has a population of approx. 1.5 million. The town Anting is one of the centres of the automotive industry in China, with the Volkswagen joint venture and many automotive suppliers located there.
The Formula 1 track (Shanghai International Circuit) is located in Jiading as well. It hosts the annual Formula One Grand Prix of China since 2004. The current track record is held by Michael Schumacher in a Ferrari (1:32.238 min in 2004).
The cache is hidden within the Formula 1's premises' gokarting track. During your search, you can discover a secret fishpond. You can normally only search the cache during the opening time of the gokart track (generally between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm).
If you would like to try gokarting, I recommend checking the online track calendar before your visit, since sometimes the kart track is blocked for private events (but you will still be able to search for the cache during such times).
You can either reach the Circuit by car/taxi via the G15 (Shanghai in direction of Taicang, exit Bao An Highway), or via metro line 11 (stop: Shanghai Circuit).

ADDITIONAL NOTE: Some people found it difficult to enter into the inner part of the racetrack (that is why the difficulty has now been changed to 4.5). You can talk to the staff for advice when to best enter this part. Hint: use the time between race sessions to cross the track.
