A nice and fairly easy cache in the Culm valley between Culmstock and Uffculme. The cache is placed along the route of the old Culm valley railway and takes in some nice areas along the river. Easiest to walk to the cache from Culmstock. The path on the way to the cache is a dead end.
This is my first ever cache placement and was placed on a day when I visited some relatives in the village of Culmstock. The name of the cache is an amalgam of our surnames and does not reflect anything to do with the location.
The location however is quite nice, and takes in the river and the old railway that ran along the the Culm valley from 1876 to 1975. The cache location takes in a particular feature of this piece of history.
The cache is a small clip-lock box with a logbook and a small gift for the FTF. There is not pen or pencil so bring your own folks...
