What a view!
I was noodling around on Google Maps looking for a possible vantage point to watch icebergs, should they ever drift down this way. I identified a couple of likely spots, and went exploring.
Well.
I got to this particular area and was awestruck by the expansive, almost 270 degree view. I saw whales cavorting just off Spout Cove. I saw a ship just out of St. John's Harbour. "Vista" hardly describes the view from GZ. A small fishing boat putted along below me, possibly on the way to Pouch Cove.
Anyhoo, I had an unplaced cache on board, and was shocked to discover nary another cache in the immediate area. There is one now!
Standard camo-taped .50 cal ammo box with the usual log, pencils, few trinkets for trade, etc.
This almost qualifies as a park-and-grab...for anyone with a 4x4. Spend less time hunting in the the area, and more time enjoying the view. If you have a low-lying car... best hike out to GZ. Wouldn't want to lose that nice oil pan.
If it's foggy...watch your step. If it's sunny... bring your camera.
EDIT: Keith3333 scores the FTF!
