The Mountain Bothy Association (MBA) is a charity organisation that maintain about 100 shelters in the remote parts of the UK. These shelters are left open for hikers to use and maintained by volnteers.

The bothy (Mosedale Cottage) this geocache is located in is in an area of the lake district about 8km from the nearest road at Sadgill to the South. It is located in a very boggy area South West of Shap and South of Haweswater Reservoir in the Haweswater Nature Reserve.
Navigation to the cache isn't particularly easy so make sure you have a map and compass or GPS. The area is also obviously quite mountainous in places and so may be quite challenging to those lacking hiking experience or fitness.
