The Trail to Red Gate is a great place to bike or hike and the walk in the woods to this cache isn't too bad. And the sticktites can be pretty severe if you stray too far from the hide.
Back in the day the Red Gate Park water tower was a great place for the West Side Guys to hang out. The radio reception was pretty good once you got to the top - WLS Chicago. You can't legally climb the tower anymore. Probably wasn't legal back then either. We did find out chickens can't fly very far.
The container is an Altoid tin. Bring your own pencil because they seem to disappear.
