FTF: Charlie-boy, Carrooo and Stickan-Boy
Here by the water's edge at Herrestad are six cairn graves which were probably constructed in the Bronze Age.
This cairn like stone-setting is typically positioned on a gentle slope, near the water.
Cairn graves are often well-constructed and sometimes contain dry-stone structures and cists of stone slabs.
The cairns can be full length, for skeletal burials, or small for cinerary graves, i.e. graves containing cremated bones.
