Geocache Description:

This series of caches is designed to show you some lovely areas on both sides of the English and Welsh border. This walk is around Saughall (England) and parts of Sealand (Wales). There are a mixture of different caches ranging from Nano to Small, and all ranging quite widely in difficulty. I hope you enjoy this series.

This walk is around 3 miles in length and starts at Sea Hill Road, with parking in a large lay-by. (Waypoint below).

THE WALK:

1. After parking your cache-mobile, turn around and head in the direction of Saughall village. Turn right when you come to a tarmaced path. This is The National Cycle Network 5. Walk until you come to a T junction by a very strange milepost known as The Fossil Tree design. There are many different designs all over the country.

2. Turn left at the junction and carry on walking to a pair of metal gates, here you will walk past TeamOneWheel's CycleFest - NCN No 5 Chester ~ Deeside cache.

3. After a short distance, you should see a bridge in the distance. Once at the bridge, you can find the Fly Fifers' DNFs?? cache. Continue walking until you reach another T junction. Turn right and on to a road; immediatly turn left and take the public footpath to the right opposite the white house.****THERE MAY BE COWS IN THIS FIELD****

4. Continue walking along this path, this was one of the many banks built when the River Dee was diverted to stop it flooding, until you reach the end of the embankment. Cross a metal bridge and stile back into England and walk along the field until you reach a mud track.

5. Turn right down the track and walk until you reach a gate with a sign saying 'Private Keep Out'. Turn left here through a kissing gate and walk up a steep hill until you reach yet another gate. Walk through the gate and on to a lush field.

6. Follow the path until you reach a wooden bridge. Cross this and walk through another field diaganolly coming towards another kissing gate. Walk through this gate and another one further on until you come to Sea Hill Road.

6. Turn right along the road until you reach your car. I hope you have enjoyed the walk.
