This simple multicache requires the cacher to visit the locations of the race day water stations. At the locations, clues can be found that will allow the location of the final cache to be determined
Water Station 1 (Stage 1)
Here you will find a cast metal sign.
Water Station 2 (Stage2)
Here you will find a telegraph pole. There are two circular white plastic identification characters. One is a number, the other is a letter.
Water Station 3 (Stage 3)
Here you will find a telegraph pole. There are two circular white plastic identification characters. Both are numbers.
Using this information, the location of the final cache can be determined by substitution in the following formulae...
N 53° ( i ) ( ii ) . ( iii ) ( iv ) ( v )
Where...
i = The number of times the letter L appears on the sign at stage 1.
ii = The number of times the letter I appears on the sign at stage 1.
iii = The number of times the letter C appears on the sign at stage 1.
iv = The single digit number on the telegraph pole at stage 2.
v = The first number of the two digit number on the telegraph pole at stage 3.
W002 ° ( vi ) ( vii ) . ( viii ) ( ix ) ( x )
Where...
vi = The number of times the letter N appears on the sign at stage 1.
vii = The sum of the number of times the letters R and S appears on the sign at stage 1.
viii = The sum of both of the numbers on the telegraph pole at stage 3.
ix = The two digit number on the telegraph pole at stage 3 minus 12.
x = The single digit number on the telegraph pole at stage 2.
Don’t be put off that it appears a bit complicated. With a jotter pad, a pencil and the information from the four locations, the maths should take a couple of minutes!
The cache is big enough to accommodate reasonable sized TB’s and other Trackables.
Please replace the cache carefully in its hidey place to prevent potential muggling!
Please be sensible and avoid attempting the caches on race day!
