Dennis Saddleman is a great storyteller in the traditional native style. You can feel the wind in your hair and the joy in your heart.
The story he tells of a day in the Nicola Valley deserves a special spot to view the valley from. Not many people would ever have the opportunity to see the valley from this perspective.
Turn onto the old highway at the Visitor Centre. Head up the hill. The old highway parallels the new one. Keep track of your mileage. At the 5.1 kilometre mark turn left off the highway onto a dirt road at the corrals. One kilometre later you will cross under the Coquihalla Highway. At the next two forks keep left. The cache is 3.5 kilometres from the underpass. The road is not good for a sports car, but, while narrow, is good for everything else.
