Davis Mill
A grist mill at this site on Great Seneca Creek first appeared on the tax assessment in 1783 on the farm called "Bradenburgh". John Samuel Davis and his wife, Mary Ellen Phoebus raised ? daughters on the hill across from the mill. Zadoc Cooke acquired the property in 1901 and modernized it, but it never prospered. The mill burned in the 1940's. Read historical sign at the site.
"X" is the number of Davis daughters.
