Geocache Description:

Multi Cache along the Amir Meital Trail above the Bezet Stream to the Keshet Cave and finally back to the memorial of the the soldiers who were killed, including Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev by the Hezbollah in July 2006 - the incident that began the 2nd Lebanon - Israel conflict.

This is a multi cache! The coordinates are for the trail head. You need to find the coordinates for the actual cache site.

NOTE: Stay on the trail!!!!! There are steep cliffs in the area. For views go to the designated view areas along hte trail where there are safety bars. To find this cache you do not need go toward the cliff area! Keep on eye on the kids!

Stage 1: Coordinates take you to the Amir Meital trail head that begins at the parking lot. Follow the blue trail and then go through the gate and follow the red trail to the West (to the right.)

Stage 2 Amir Meital Memorial:
N 33° 04.572
E 35° 11.725

Amir was killed
There are two ceremaic plaques in the memorial area. The clue is on the plaque the is upright on a rock that has writing in Hebrew (not plaque one the ground with view points.)

At the bottom of the plaque are the dates of Amir's birth and death (The dates are written from left to right as in English.)
How old was Amir when he was killed while commanding his troop in Lebanon?
Age at death = AB

Stage 3:
Keshet Cave
Continue along to red trail and you will come to the natural Keshet (arc) cave.
This is a popular place for repelling down with ropes. While we were there a family repelled down. The youngest who did this on his own was 6 and the oldest, who broke the record that day, was the 75 year old grandmother!

View the arc from around the safety poles and then continue up the paved trail to the cache site which is located at:

33° 04.6A0
35° (A+B).685

After finding the cache, continue up the paved path back to the parking lot. On the way you will pass by the memorial to the soldiers killed by the Hizbollah in July 2006. The two soldiers who were captured had all of Israel hoping for their return - along with Gilad Shalit - who is still in captive 5 years later in Gaza. Hope to see him back home soon.
