Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Coexist Series Power Trail. This series is for educational and historical purposes only, to teach you about various mythological Deities and symbology across the globe.

Angra Mainyu (alt: A?ra Mainiuu) is the Avestan-language name of Zoroastrianism's hypostasis of the "destructive spirit" - the "Angry Man". The Middle Persian equivalent is Ahriman.

Originally proclaimed by Zoroastrianism to be an evil counterpart to Ahura Mazda, (an "uncreated" or timeless God, and therefor not accountable to any Deity), later teachings declare that Angra Mainyu was a creation of Ahura Mazda, along with his "good" counterpart, Ohrmuzd. The newer version of Angra Mainyu was a creation, capable of free will, deliberetely choosing a path of evil.

The Bundahishn, a Zoroastrian account of creation completed in the 12th century has much to say about Angra Mainyu and his role in the cosmogony. In chapter 1.23, following the recitation of the Ahuna Vairya, a holy script, Ohrmuzd takes advantage of Angra Mainyu's incapacity to create life without intervention. When Angra Mainyu recovers, he creates Jeh, the primal whore who afflicts women with their menstrual cycles. In Bundahishn 4.12, Angra Mainyu perceives that Ohrmuzd is superior to himself, and so flees to fashion his many demons with which to meet Creation in battle. The entire universe is finally divided between the Ohrmuzd and the yazads (possibly an Angelic reference), on one side and Angra Mainyu with his devs (demons) on the other. Angra Mainyu slays the primal bull, but the moon rescues the seed of the dying creature, and from it springs all animal creation. But the battle goes on, with mankind caught in the middle, whose duty it remains to withstand the forces of evil through good thoughts, words and deeds.

Disclaimer:
Do not approach this series lightly. If this were only a 500' bushwhack, I would call it hellish. The roots will trip you, the branches will shred you and poke your eyes, and the insects will consume you. But it's not 500'. It's over 12 bloody miles! I highly recommend you bring snake boots, lots of water, long pants, long sleeve shirt, lots of water, good hat, pokey stick, lots of water, spare everything, bug spray, lots of water, writing utensils, cell phone, lots of water.
Did I mention bring lots of water?

You may find a laminated clue slip in this cache. If you do, you might want to solve the riddle. This will help you locate the Gaia puzzle cache nearby. Please leave clue slips in the caches you find them in.
