Geocache Description:

Welcome to Peterson Park in McHenry Illinois. It is a 209 Acre park which is home to the annual Fiesta Days celebration. It provides access to McCullom Lake and is on the Illinois Prairie Bike/walking path. There are also Softball and Baseball games and tournaments held here. It has Basketball courts, Gazebo's, play areas, Playground equipment, a beach(fee), Picnic shelter's, soccer fields and more. There is ample parking all around. Depending on how the vote's go, it may have a Metra line running right through the center of it, too.

You won't have to worry about a train over here, though. Depending on the parking lot you pick, you may have a shorter walk or a longer walk. Depending on the trail you take, this can have a little bushwhacking or it can have much more. I'll leave that up to decide. I didn't encounter any ticks, but there were mosquitoes so I suggest some bug spray. There are quite a few hidey spots and thick tree cover, so you may have to use more Geosense and less GPS once you get near GZ. Make sure you do a thorough search of the area and expand it if you need to.
