Geocache Description:

Traditional cache on the outskirts of the Northants village of Astcote

Astcote is a hamlet in near the town of Towcester in Northamptonshire, England. It is in the civil parish of Pattishall.

There are many ways to get to Astcote, a network of footpaths cross the village, which makes this the perfect place to sit and have a rest along with a sandwich mid walk before talking a short detour to log this box.

You are looking for a blackend clip box with sufficient room for swaps and bugs etc. The cache is easily accesible via road footpaths although the last couple of meters is more off the beaten track so this bit not suitable for any wheeled device - wheelchair/bike/child buggy etc. but the journey to it is fine for whatever mode of transport you prefer.

This could be done as a quick dash from the A5, there are two parking bays very close. Please be wary of traffic - the A5 is a busy road. Or better still as part of a much longer or slightly shorter stroll thought the deligtful Nortants countryside.

There is also roadside parking in the village near the central green / red telephone box.

This cache is our first one hidden, I hope we've created enough of a challenge...

FTF is welcome to the little hand made bead man perfect as a travel bug charm and has a special page in the log book.
