This is a great family-friendly cache. A nice quarter mile hike from McAuliffe Park. There are a few rolling hills, a small bridge to cross the creek, a wildflower field to pass by, and a winding path to the cache. It is not too far off trail and in a pretty easy location for kids to find. Reward their efforts with a trip to the playground afterward.
We put this together as part of a kids geocaching class. The camo container is well stocked with items from each of the kids, a fun little prize for the first to find, and we are starting two trackables. We'd like to follow the adventures of "Gnomeo and Fred", who goes the farthest, and if they ever make it back to their GeoGnome Home! We left a photo of them and a limerick on the back.
