You are looking for a small container placed at the "Bear Caves" on State Game Lands 157.
Parking off Stony Garden Road.
The "Bear Caves" are a popular local hiking destination. The caves are formed from large boulders.
There are two trails you can take to reach this cache. Both require a significant hike (1-2 miles).
1. SUGGESTED ROUTE. Park near Potters Lane and follow the trail directly across from Potters Lane into the state game lands. Follow the trail for a mile or so and you will begin to see the big boulders. Continue on to the coordinates.
2. SCENIC/DIFFICULT ROUTE. Park in parking lot (coordinates provided) and head off on the trail that exits the parking lot. Continue towards ringing rocks field (appears on left). Continue on trail past ringing rocks approx. 0.5 mi to coordinates.
The cache is hidden high on top of the boulders, and may be a bit challenging for some cachers.
The area is beautiful and the landmarks are really unique. You'll see why when you get there.
Remember to wear bright orange in the winter when searching for this cache. In fact, it might be best to wait to grab this one when it's not hunting season. Use that common sense, eh?
Don't attempt this cache at night.
Good luck and Happy Hunting!
Uploading pics of your hunt is welcome!!
