Geocache Description:

I wish I could say that this island was named after me, but it was named after a mariner named Captain John Goodwyn Keats, he was also the governor of the island of Newfoundland of all places!

This cache is located on Keats Island in Plumper Cove Provincial Park. There is camping, fishing, boating, crabbing, swimming and drinking water available. There are no roads, so if you don't have a boat, you will have to take the Stormaway IV to Keats Landing from the Langdale Ferry Terminal.

This cache has a terrain rating of 5 because you need a boat to access the island. Once on the island, there is a short trail to the cache. Make sure you take to lowest trail to the water, you will see at a point in the trail where the trail forks either uphill or downhill, take the downhill trail to access the cache. The uphill trail goes to "Ding Dong" a hilarious cache, you'll see what I mean when you get there.

Its true, my actual first name is Keats. I was named after the poet and not the island, but I like to say that I was named after the island (however I wish that the island was named after me ) Good luck with the cache and enjoy your visit.
