How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

Last of the cake crumbs !

Just a little ‘scooby snack’ combining the bridal path from Sharnford and the footpath to Fosse Way.

But beware only the brave may wish to venture the overgrown terrain to meet up with Fairy Cake.

Mince Pie

Also known as minced pie, mutton pie, shrid pie or Chiristmas pie. Recipes are traceable to the 13th century. Traditionally it’s ingredients were a mix of shredded meat ( mutton, beef, goose or neat’s tongue ), suet, dried fruit, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg.

In-keeping with Groundspeak and Geocacher’s Creed these caches are hidden in support of the ethos that ‘the favourite part of geocaching is looking for it’. Your GPS device will take you to the approximate location (within 20 or 30 feet). Because ‘bushwhacking’ has a negative impact on the environment, stick close to the trail unless description indicates otherwise. Use your eyes and search, looking for something out of place. Lift, look, replace in-order to leave the area exactly as you found it. Use the hint. If you don’t enjoy the challenge of the hunt, these caches may not be ‘your cup of tea’. Please respect the time and effort taken in hiding these caches. Most importantly HAVE FUN!
