When you understand the title, the cache is very near. They must have been very important!
Placed on part of the Adlington Circular Walk. One of our favourite rambles, near the locally famous and enormous house, The Street. This is a bit of a mystery. A local historian states that the title dates from Roman times. A gentleman named Alexander Street was the owner in 1534. He seems to have taken his own name from that of the property. That's all I know but any other suggestions are most welcome ! Please bring a pencil to sign log.
