A memorial tribute to those fallen on 9/11/01. 9th annual event. Meeting at Farmington Firehouse prior to start. All are welcome even if not making the hike stop by Base camp and meet everyone
The Log book will be at the firehouse at the start.
we will begin meeting around 6:00 am ath te Farmington Firehouse located at:
82 North 100 East, Farmington Utah 84025.
We will mingle and chat until about 6:45 AM please show up even if not making the hike in support & remembrance of those lost.
At 6:45 AM we will have a minute of silence in honor of when the first plane sturck the towers. A.A. flight 11.
After the minute of silence the fire chief of Farmington will say a few Words. then we will have a group photo opportunity.
at 7:03 we will have another minute of silence in honor of when the second plane struck the towers. Flight 75.
It is after the second minute of silence that we will begin the hike up to the flag on top of flag rock which stands the hieght the world trade center once stood.
Come and see what it was like to look off the towers. (only looking over the great salt lake)
The hike is approximately 4 miles round trip. and we will help any one that wants to make the trip to safely make it up and down.... We will not rush you.
once the majority of the group gets to the top we will again have a group photo opportunity.
in 2008 Alex Cabrerro and his camera man made this trip carrying their gear. Not a hard trek just bring water and some snacks and you should be fine.
A big thanxs to the Hike's Founder's Dave & Randy West. Randy is the Trailmaster for this section of the Farmington Trails and will be the guide to the top as always.
LET's SHOW A STRONG SUPPORT OF REMEMBRANCE OF THOSE LOST.
