Cache is a small steel thermos container not too far from the road. It looks like a large bullet and was silver until I cammoed it. It's hidden near a spot that we used to camp at years ago. Hence the cache name. This was one of my favorite spots back in the day and still is. It has obviously become a very popular place to get away. I will never get tired of coming here.
Back in the late 60's there were very few people using this area. The day I placed the cache it was standing room only out there! I am pretty sure Hughesville Road is maintained during the winter up to A-5 so this cache should be available year round. You might have to fight your way through some heavy snow to get to it after you park but that will only make it more fun. Look for the safe road pull off when you get close.
There's a pencil in the container but always carry one just in case. The log is inside a pill bottle to help protect it from moisture. Please replace it as found. Be careful and watch out for critters that bite.
XVampire has agreed to keep an eye on this cache for me.
