Geocache Description:

A medium hike through Krantzkloof Nature Reserve to a great waterfall.

My Bakers Dozen Challenge cache for August.

While hunting for another cache, I saw a trail that I had never walked. So I walked it. And found this spot. Geocaching has really taken me to some beautiful places that I didn't even know existed.  I would like to share this one with you.

The walk can be long (depending on where you park) so take along some picnic goodies and rest awhile to really enjoy the spot. Don't forget enough drinking water, especially in summer.

The trail is not particularly strenous and is suitable for kids from 5 up.

However, the final approach to the cache is strenuous and will require some climbing / clambering (no ropes needed, but all four limbs will be).  Make sure you have someone to look after the kids at the bottom (if you have them with you).

The GPS signal is really bad at the final location, so the hint is a complete spoiler.

A spoiler pic is also provided and is a total giveaway. Use this at your sole discretion.

Note that cellphone reception is very poor to nil at the cache location, so PAF will be a problem.

From the Krantzkloof Picnic spot to the cache and back is approximately 6.1 km along mostly flat trail.   Allow three hours for the return trip and collect some other caches along the way.

From the Acutt Road parking area, the distance is about 3 km return with the same trail conditions.  Allow 1.5 hours for the return trip and collect some other caches along the way.

Take note of the Trail Junction (#7).  You will need to turn off from the main trail here and cross the Molweni River.

The Terrain rating only applies to the final scramble to the cache - the rest of the trail is Terrain 2.5.
The Difficulty rating is mainly due to the poor GPS signal at the final location.

Note:  01 May 2014.  I have (at last) found the name of these falls - and changed the cache name accordingly.
