This should be a park and grab cache. This could be available in the winter if there is not much snow.
The cache is a magnetic nano. You may need tweezers to remove the log from the cache. After grabbing the cache you could visit the NY Power Authority Visitor's Center(10am to 4pm) and the exhibits on display there. Admission is free. A wetland trail with interpretive signs is adjacent to the parking lot. Parking at N42 26.875; W074 27.868. Parking is available from dawn to dusk. If you are doing the other caches along the trail to Minekill State Park, parking could be at N42 26.271; W074 27.535. Minekill Park Permit #3.
