Windsor to Wisemans Ferry (W2W Series)
.
Park & Grab - Swaps - Log - Easy
.
A leisurely drive from Windsor - Wilberforce - Ebenezer - Lower Portland - Leets Vale - Webbs Creek to Wisemans Ferry. Just over 40km of back road following the Hawkesbury River. Part of the road is unsealed, but suitable for 2 wheel drive cars. ( Can be slippery if wet ) This series of caches passes through Bicentenary Road. So I have named the caches after each ship in the First Fleet. - I hope you enjoy the drive. Easy finds, plenty of swaps, can you get all eleven in the series? Good Luck.
==============================================================
Friendship was an Australian First Fleet transport ship, built in Scarborough, England, in 1784.
A brig of 278 tons, she was among the smallest of the transports. Her master was Francis Walton and surgeon Thomas Arndell. She left Portsmouth on 13 May 1787, carrying seventy-six male and twenty-one female convicts. The female convicts were transferred to other transports at the Cape of Good Hope to make room for livestock purchased there. She arrived at Port Jackson, Sydney, Australia, on 26 January 1788.
