Geofest at Bernheim Forest Event Cache

3rd Annual Geocaching event held at Bernheim Forest in Clermont Kentucky

Bernheim's staff has once again extended an invitation to our Geocaching community to participate in this years Colorfest. Those who attended last years event can tell you that not only a good time was had by all at the daily Geocacher meet and greets but there was also plenty to do for the whole family at Bernheim's fall festival. In addition there are over 80 caches located in the forest just waiting to be found. As in previous years we will once again set up a booth at Colorfest with demonstration caches and provide a Geocaching 101 opportunity for those attending the festival.

This years event will take place Saturday October 15th from 10 AM to 5 PM and Sunday October 16th from 12 Noon to 5 PM. There will be a $5 entry fee per car to Bernheim Forest this weekend.

Geocacher Meet and Greet and Geocaching demonstrations will be located at posted event coordinates behind the Education Center.

Cache Container Contest - If you think you have an unusual cache container or one that would be good for display please bring it along with you on Saturday. Geocachers who attend the event will have an opportunity to vote for their favorite cache container between the hours of 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM. A prize package will be given to the owner of the cache getting the most votes. So get busy and come up with a winner!

Travel Bugs and Geocoins - Please bring along any Travel Bugs or Geocoins you might have when you come to Colorfest. We would like to display the TB's and coins for event attendees to view. It would also be a great opportunity to discover some TB's. If you brought a TB, starting at 3:00 PM each day drop back by the booth and pick up a different one to move it along its way.

12:00 Noon to 4:00 PM:  Travel Bug Swap.
Bring along any TB's you may have to display on the table, discover, or swap.

1:00 PM to 5:00 PM: Geocaching display including discussions on Geocaching tools, and techniques, plus two easy to find demonstration caches.

All Day Activities:
1. More than 80 caches to find in Bernheim.
3. Six event caches.
4. Explore Colorfest.
