This is not ideal as a cache and dash because you need to be good at manoeuvring your car in these roads in order to get out again! There is free parking in the town and a short walk from this cache. This cache is easily accessible from the pavement and there is no need to deviate from the public highway. You may need to be a little surreptitious to retrieve the cache. The quietest time is likely to be during the middle of the day ... or night!
The building opposite the cache was once a studio belonging to an early photographer by the name of Staggler. It then became a radio repair shop, opening in 1910. The large detached house you can see was a lemonade factory and the building opposite this was the stables for the factory until WW1 when it became a funeral parlour.
The cache is our first so we hope you like it and we look forward to reading your comments in the log book. The younger members of our family are ensuring it is well stocked with small toys!
We have had to replace the cache with a smaller container following its vandalism. Curse on those muggles!
Congratulations to R.E.D 99. We're pleased our first cache was your first FTF. Well done!
