While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for the cache owner and block other cachers from placing a cache in the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can’t do so forever.

Nothing seems to happen with this cache listing, so it is now archived, so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if it hasn’t been done already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

If the owner wants it reopened, send me an e-mail and I’ll be happy to unarchive the cache listing if it still satisfies the requirement/guidelines.

Norwegian: Cachen vil føre deg til en nybygd fullskalakopi av Osebergskipet ved brygga i Tønsberg.

English: This cache will lead you to a full-scale replica of the Oseberg viking ship in Tønsberg City.

Stiftelsen Nytt Osebergskip har nå bygget en fullskalakopi av Osebergskipet. Byggingen startet sommeren 2010 og skjedde på de samme premissene som våre forfedre, vikingene, hadde av materialer og byggemetoder så langt dette var praktisk mulig. Arbeidet ble stort sett utført av frivillige håndtverkerne som skjærte ut kunsten i treet, smidde nagler i den lille smia (Osebergskipet blir holdt sammen av 2842 nagler av jern!).

Skipet ble sjøsatt og døpt "Saga Oseberg" den 20. Juni 2012 med kongeparet tilstede.

Finansieringen av skipet skjer gjennom donasjoner fra bedrifter, offentlige institusjoner og privatpersoner. På stedet finnes det en butikk der salget av effekter går med til å finansiere byggingen.

Skipet ligger nå til kai og blir jevnlig tatt ut på en tur. Cachen ligger rett ved siden av dette stedet.

Vanskelighetsgraden er satt med tanke på mugglere. Vær forsiktig mens du leter, cachen har blitt mugglet gjentatte ganger.

The New Oseberg Ship Foundation (Stiftelsen Nytt Osebergskip) has built a full-scale replica of the Oseberg viking ship. The construction has been done on the same premises as the norse ancestors, the Vikings, had of materials and construction methods as far as practicable. The ship was launched 20. july and named "Saga Oseberg".

The difficulty rating is due to the mugglers, please be careful during the search
