Rambling Rascals: The cache container has disintegrated and the land owner is moving away. It feels like a natural point to remove this cache and leave the land tidy.

Geocache Description:

This cache is placed beside a footpath in the village of North Marston, on private land with the permission of the land owners. Please keep to the footpaths and keep dogs on a lead as there is usually livestock in the surrounding fields.

Wools lane appears to be a very narrow field but it is actually a green lane that used to provide access to common land until 1778, when the land was divided into the fields we see today.

Although St John's Lane is the nearest access it is not possible to park there as it is a single track lane that leads to a farm with frequent movement of large lorries / tractors & trailers.

We recommend that if arriving by car, you park in the village centre near the pub. An enjoyable circular walk can be made, initially via Quainton Road and St. John's Lane, and back across the footpaths.

Check out the local footpaths on the Ordinance Survey website (visit link) by searching for postcode MK18 3PU, and clicking the 'Leisure' button on the map.
