2nd cache to be placed on a kayak outing . The cache is a camo taped Webber Natural's pill bottle placed a few meters from shore in a nice little cove on Dollar Lake . There is no trail to here , you will need a form of water transportation or do an approximate 2km oneway ice walk to grab . There is a "Toonie" inside for FTF . It still buys an XL coffee , enjoy . It should be winter friendly as it is eye level when placed . Congrats to 2cons for FTF .
Whichever way you choose , come prepared . Use extreme caution on the water or ice and make your trip a safe one . Keep in mind the park does not operate year round . The day I placed this cache the wind came up on the return leg making for a longer interesting paddle . This lake has the potential for a lot of waves in certain wind conditions from N to S due to it's length , so use caution if using a small water craft . There is a picnic table on the southern point of this cove that makes for a great view and a great place to stop and enjoy a bite . As a little trivia , Wikipedia states that , "Dollar Lake takes its name from the story behind Nova Scotia's acquisition of the property. A horse farm was once located on the grounds; the owner sold his assets to the province for only $1.00."
