Geocache Description:

This is located near the entrance of Camp Dark Waters with permission of the camp. Please park on New Freedom Road (on the shoulder) towards Eayrestown Rd; do not block the camp entrance. Also note that there is no need to head down the camp's driveway.
As of this posting, there is no sumac or poison ivy near the cache, but tread with care anyway!

Named for the tea-colored Rancocas Creek (AKA "Haines Creek") which flows through it, Camp Dark Waters is a non-profit overnight summer camp for about ninety boys and girls under Friends (Quaker) leadership. Samuel R. Matlack, a Friend who loved children, founded it in 1928 to provide a simple natural setting for their summer enjoyment.

This cache maintained by the "Teen Adventure Camp" travel program: we travel, hike, and geocache every summer in Delaware Water Gap, Shenandoah National Park, and Cape May.
