There is a park and ride a short distance from the trailhead. You can park a little closer to the trail on the northbound side of RT. 62 in front of where the new animal shelter is going to be built also. Be careful crossing traffic if you choose the park and ride.
This cache is a hidden ammo box that has been camouflaged. I placed this cache at this location because the view is amazing. You can see all of Winfield from the nearby rocks. CAUTION! Kids are welcome to this cache as there are some toys in it for them. But be warned. The hike is steep and very slick if wet. The rocks at the top have a deadly drop off. So watch your kids. I have had my kids here and didnt have any problems. If you are up to the hike you are going to love the location and the view. There is a nice prize for the FTF. Original inventory contained some toys, a pirate coin, and a Winchester multitool for the FTF. Have fun and be careful.
