An easy walk in Hartford Springs Park on the horse trails just off Piedras at Idaleona Rd. Limited parking at the side of the road, don't block the gate. Trail can be muddy in this area after rain, but is otherwise flat and easily accessible. If you're using a smart phone - you may not have coverage for this cache - better with a GPSr.
This is a small camo'd bison tube about 2.5 inches long with log, bring your own pen. No climbing or tromping through brush required. Go a short distance on the road and watch for the trail off to the left, then just follow your GPS a short distance to the cache. If you have time, enjoy a hike on the trails in the park. This is an old gold mining area, and there are several ruins throughout the park. This park is spectacular when the flowers are blooming in the spring. Always keep an eye out for rattle snakes!
