Located in the city of Sandstone’s Robinson Park – A beautiful local park set on the banks of the Kettle River. There is great hiking and exploring at this former sandstone quarry. In summer, there is kayaking on the river, and in the winter you can watch the ice climbers on the old stone-faced quarry wall.
You will want to bring a picnic lunch and camera and spend a little time enjoying the various aspects of the park.
The park closes at 10pm.
The old stone-faced wall of the quarry is beautiful year round, but looks spectacular in the winter, as water seeps over the cliffs and freezes into columns of ice.
Some of the best ice climbing in the upper midwest.
You are seeking a micro with a logsheet only. BYOP.
