Geocache Description:

Through Dalton and up the red path. 3 KM of thorns and an amazing view. A cache for the determined and adventuress!

This cache is not for the weak of heart. The path is only 3 Km and is basically round but much of the way is through a very minimal path with many thorns. The view is amazing and there is a very interesting point of interest on the way that is not even on the best of maps. I recommend taking this challenges only with shoes, long pants a map with the paths (1:50,000) and kids over the age of 12.
To get near the cache, you will need to drive right through the town of Dalton. If you take the red rout, you can park next to the cemetery, (it is not on the map) or continue to were the path makes a sharp U turn. From there you can continue on foot up to Mount Eviatar and back again. The clime is not steep – do not worry.

I recommend taking a 400 meter detour and visiting the burial site of Rabi Yehuda Ben Teima.

At the top of the mountain you will find yourself in a clearing with many stones. The cache is very close to a large stone that has a white – red – white sign on its tip. It is in a plastic container raped in a black bag and hidden in a crack in a large boulder. It is also covered by some more stones. Make sure you properly cover the cache after you have put it back.

On your way back, if you chose to use the green path, don’t forget to close the small gate after you (you will know what I am talking about when you see it)
