Once a field where cows grazed opposite Whinfield Farm, the GZ was previously on the edge of the field which was purchased by Millport Town Council in 1955 to create a recreation area for the town’s youngsters. The field was originally developed by the National Playing Fields Association (now known as ‘Fields in Trust’) and remains a popular spot for ball games, frisbee etc. If you keep your ears open you may be able to hear the Cathedral clock chimes from here!
The cache is now on the move and will settle on a new location soon.
