Over the past few weeks, as I have set and found caches on the
North Star Trail, I have met muggles who were using the Trail for
their cycling, roller blading, and walking pursuits. As I have been
thrashing around in the bushes and weeds alongside the Trail I
often stay still and the muggles carry on their sweet way oblivious
to my presence. At other times, where I was in the open and clearly
visible I would sometimes pretend to use my GPS as a cell phone or
pretend to use it as a camera and be taking a photo of the view.
Several times I would stumble out of the above-my-height weeds into
the path, or at least into the vision, of passing muggles. It is at
these times I hastily let them know that I’m geocaching and
that I’m not about to accost them.
How many muggles are now going home and telling stories of all the
strange people who are skulking about off the North Star
Trail?
This cache is set up specifically for those cachers who enjoy
skulking around the off-Trail areas. It is available 24 hours a
day, and is also winter accessible.
Cachers will need to provide their own pencil or other writing
implement.
