Geocache Description:

This is the fourth in a trail of caches telling some of the history of Dunstable Downs. A pleasant walk from the Chilterns Gateway Centre (LU6 2GY), this cache is hidden a few hundred yards beyond the end of the multi user trail, an easy access track that runs along the top of the Downs with stunning views all year round. This cache is also easily accessed from the Northern end of Whipsnade Road (B4541)

PLEASE RE-HIDE THIS CACHE CAREFULLY!

The cache is a clip lunch-box covered in camouflage tape, not immediately visible but quite easy to uncover(beware of nettles). This can be a busy area so some stealth will be required.

Dunstable Downs is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a kite-flying hotspot. Acres of space to enjoy with fabulous views over the Vale of Aylesbury and along the Chiltern Ridge. Chalk grassland, rich in wildlife, provides prime walking country.

GPS devices are now available to borrow from the Chilterns Gateway Centre so you can introduce your friends and family to geocaching too!
