The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say
Perhaps you can now imagine the trains hurtling along this track. I feel a fraud trying to conjure up that image in others because I've struggled to achieved it myself. Whenever I walk through this avenue of trees, I find myself humming this song and I can quite imagine hobbits striding along the trail on their way to the next adventure.
