Edith Point Traditional Cache

The cache is located on the ocean shoreline at the tip of Edith point peninsula. A hike from the end of Edith Point road to the cache location will take about 20 minutes to an hour depending on your pace and the route you choose. There are three main trails leading to the end of the point.

• The centre trail begins at the end of the road. The path is wide and easy to follow though the varying forest types of the island, including Cedar groves, twisted Arbutus giants, and endangered Garry oaks.
• The North trail begins at a picturesque gate at (N48 51.781 W123 16.058) just off of the central trail. The path follows the coastline to the point. At medium to low tides, it is also possible to make the entire trek on the exposed sloping rocks of the North shore.
• The South trail splits from the centre trail at (N48 51.599 W123 15.606) and edges the tops of the cliffs looking into Campbell bay. There is also another cache located along this route: GC31ZTX.
  

Edith point is private land that has been generously opened to the public for hiking, although no powered vehicles are allowed. Please be gentle with the flora and fauna and pack out any garbage you bring with you. Do not not walk through the property directly surrounding the landowner's home at the far end of the point.
