Izvir Bistrice je skriti zaklad Bohinja že sam po sebi. Za
približno 1 uro hoje iz Bohinjske Bistrice boste nagrajeni z
naravno lepoto tega samotnega kraja in odslej tudi s skrito
škatlico.
Bistrica spring is a hidden treasure of Bohinj on itself.
Approximately 1 hour hike from Bohinjska Bistrica will be rewarded
by natural beauty of this remote place and from now on also by a
little little box.
Bistrica z izvirom Pod Luknjo je najmočnejši pritok
Save Bohinjke, vodo dobiva iz Spodnjih Bohinjskih gora. Potok sicer
izvira višje v grapi pod planino Osredki, vendar kot izvir
štejemo slapova, ki nižje privreta iz kraške
luknje, do koder je speljana označena pot. Zgornji rob 7 m
visokega večjega slapu, ki pada v velik tolmun, je zidan, ker
je bila voda za potrebe hidroelektrarne ob gradnji Bohinjskega
predora v letih 1900-1905 speljana skozi rov in po lesenih rakah do
strojnice v Bohinjski Bistrici (na mestu današnje oz.
nekdanje ribogojnice pri Zoisovem gradu); ostanek tega je
manjši slap, ki bruha skozi pravokotno odprtino v skali.
Izvir Bistrice je tudi vir pitne vode za Bohinjsko Bistrico.
Dostop: najbližje parkirišče je na koncu
ceste ob zaselku Pozabljeno, od koder vodi do izvira označena
pot. Parkirate lahko seveda kjer koli v Bohinjski Bistrici (in si s
tem nekoliko podaljšate hojo) in se usmerite proti
Pozabljenemu pri mostu ob Zoisovem gradu (WP1) ali na začetek
poti na Črno prst mimo vojaškega
pokopališča na Rebru (WP2). Pot je označena. Da
pridete do tolmuna pod slapom je treba prečkati most. Za
povratek lahko izberete tudi pot čez Dobravo (smerokaz), ki je
slabše označena, vendar zaradi razglednosti ne bo
težav z iskanjem prave poti.
Pozor: zaradi ozkega pasu neba in dreves je natančnost
GPS naprav na končni lokaciji slaba in določanje
položaja zelo spremenljivo (kar smo upoštevali pri
izbiri skrivališča). Kljub temu bi vas koordinate
morale pripeljati na kraj, kjer je zaklad mogoče najti tudi
brez namiga. Namig bi moral razrešiti dvome, če pa vse
odpove, je na voljo še spoiler fotografija.

Bistrica is the largest tributary to Sava Bohinjka river, its
watershed is Lower Bohinj Mountains ridge. It starts as a small
creek higher above in the slopes of Lisec, but it is generally
accepted that the spring of Bistrica is a karst vent hole just
above the waterfall, that is reached by the trail from Bohinjska
Bistrica. Upper part of the 7 m waterfall is artificial, as during
construction of the Bohinj tunnel in 1900-1905 the water was
channelled from the spring to the hydroelectric power station in
the village (the site of former fish farm near Zois manor?). The
remnant of the channel can be seen as smaller waterfall that falls
through a rectangular hole in the rock to the left of the main
waterfall. Bistrica spring is also the main drinking water supply
for Bohinjska Bistrica.
Access: the closest parking place is at the end of the road
at Pozabljeno, where the marked trail starts. Of course you can
park anywhere in Bohinjska Bistrica and direct yourself to the
start of the trail at WP1 just across the bridge from Zois manor or
to the start of the marked trail to Črna prst past military
cemetery Rebro (WP2). Trail to the spring is marked (Izvir
Bistrice). Go across the bridge to get close to the waterfall. You
can return over Dobrava meadows (signpost), the trail is less well
marked, but with good view of the village you'll know where to
go.
Note: narrow view of the sky and trees greatly influence the
accuracy of GPS devices at final location (which was taken into
account when hiding the cache). Nevertheless, the published
coordinates should bring you to a location where it is possible to
find the cache without hint. Hint should be revealing enough.
