Haseley Hoard
Located a short walk south of the beautiful village of Great Haseley. Geocache can be accessed via a public right of way through fields. Please observe footpath signs and do not walk on farm crops.
Great Haseley is a village and civil parish in South Oxfordshire. The village is 4.5 miles (7.2 km) southwest of Thame and within 2 miles of junction 7 of the M40. Population approximately 500.
The village and its manor house is noted in the Domesday Book and the Church itself dates back to approx 1100 AD. There are many beautiful houses in village including the recently restored manor house, vicarage and farm-house.
When first placed, the cache contained 7 travel bugs. 2 collected from other geocaches and 5 newly activated ones. There were lots of goodies too including a be-jeweled fairy, shiny go-go's, a small game and coins from around Europe.
