Geocache Description:

Welcome to Ammo on Huon

When i saw that there wasn't any traditional caches on Huon i decided it was time.
This cache is at a little known Lookout on a great walking track. There are two ways to this cache and both involve a medium walk about 2-3km round trip.
This cache can be done as a night cache but I'd increase both Difficulty and terrain ratings.
Huon Hill Parklands
Size: 238 hectares

Vegetation community: Open-box woodland

Landform: Steep rolling hills, some rocky outcrops

Classification: Recreation and conservation

Elevation: 428 metres above sea level at summit

Features: 360 degree views of stunning panoramas overlooking Albury, Wodonga, Lake Hume, Mt. Bogong, Mt. Feathertop, the Kiewa Valley, Bonegilla, Baranduda Range, Table Top Mountain and the Murray Valley towards Corowa.

Walking trails: Stringybark Track (2km)
Summit Track (200 metres)
Bundy track (3km)
Sheoke track (2.5km)
Mistletoe Track (2km)
The track names are native trees that are typical for this type of Box Gum Grassy Woodland area, an ecological vegetation community that is on the National EPBC list as Endangered.
