Geocache Description:

A very easy cache. Don't overthink it.

I have no idea why this is a one-lane bridge. It was built not too long ago, and with all the subdivisions going in around it, it's going to have to be replaced soon to carry all the traffic. It's a nice quiet country location, so enjoy!

Due to the narrow road, be careful with parking. There's a convenient, safe pulloff very near the cache that gets you completely off the road.

Here's a little history of the bridge from LadyBirdBleu, whose family has lived there for generations:

Actually, it was built a very long time ago, way back when the Coward's owned a mill on Beaver Creek. The Mill was on the left as you head to the railroad tracks. Between say, 1992 and 1996, guardrails were installed. This may be what leads you to believe the bridge is newer, but it is not. Because of all of the subdivisions and depletion of our beautiful farmland, Coward Mill road will be restructured and the current bridge will be a pedestrian walkway.

My family has lived here for 6 generations, navigating the one-lane bridge and a railroad crossing that you used to actually have to stop, look, and listen at because there were no caution-arms. Believe me, if you stay on your side of the road, maintain the posted speed limit, and act like somebody...the bridge being one-lane is no issue at all.
