The cache is located within 30cm of a plaque dedicated to the
occupation of the '77 Battery 10 Coast Regiment N.Z.A.' The details
on the plaque read;
1942 1952
During World War 2 this lookout was
Occupied by, 77 Battery 10 Coast
Regiment N.Z.A. The battery manned by
Two 6 inch Mark 7 Guns in concrete
Emplacements above The Port of Napier.
The gunners barracks were located
behind the battery. This plaque records
the army presence on this site.
The cache is a clear small cylinder with a log only a pen is
required to sign the log as its rather small. Please ensure you
replace the cache so it is well hidden. A stealthy retrieval may be
needed due to the probable event that muggles may be lurking.
