Geocache Description:

A walk through the woods, in pursuit of a mysterious white rabbit.

God jakt!

EN: The cache is not at the given coordinates, but the coordinates give you the starting-point. The poem below will lead you along a walk through Sørmarka. Unless you get lost, the total walk will be under 5Km long. The time taken will vary depending on speed, but one should probably set aside more than an hour. For those using smartphones for caching, note that you in addition to having an app that gives you your coordinates, might want to make sure you have a decent compass.

When it was placed the cache contained various swappable plastic-figures, along with a FTFC and an edible prize for the first finder.

Happy hunting!

The geocacher stood at Oskars Place, wondering where the cache could possibly be A talking white rabbit hopped out of the woods and said, "Ah, you're a cacher? Follow me!" In the direction of an arrow marked "Universitetet," the rabbit hopped along The cacher eagerly followed, his will to find the cache was strong As it reached a table the rabbit changed course and hopped toward the northeast The cacher followed onto the path, set on keeping up with the cute little beast

After crossing a bridge, and two slopes with some roots, the cacher got a fright He realised suddenly, that despite his best efforts, the rabbit was out of sight The cacher continued on, miserably, feeling rather bereft But as his GPSR said point one nine two, he luckily looked to the left There he saw in the distance two rocks, and on top of one was the rabbit But once he got there the rabbit was gone, this was becoming a habit

He did however see rabbit-tracks, on the path leading northwest As he got to a cross-roads, and they continued to the left, the cacher felt positively blessed After a short walk, the path changed its nature, it had now turned distinctly grey The cacher walked quite far along this path, continuing on the same way Eventually the cacher got tired, and sat down on a green bench next to something concrete But when he looked upward, and saw the rabbit, he quickly got back onto his feet

The rabbit was mocking him from the black wire, then jumped down and ran to the next lamp-post It hopped up to the right, and the cacher followed, with all the speed of which he could boast Sprinting straight up a hill was taking its toll, as the cacher was not exceptionally fit It came to the cacher as quite a relief when there were steps to take him up the last bit He then saw over a dozen white creatures, the tallest one called out "Come over to me Now look toward the second tallest of us, that's the direction in which the rabbit will be!"

The cacher duly followed the path, keeping well toward the left as he went He spotted the rabbit resting on a table, before it started it's sharp decent Relieved at finally walking downhill, the cacher followed at quite a pace He walked along on a path, in the midst of a large open space The cacher then found himself on a steep edge, he proceeded down with great care As he saw the rabbit hopping on straight ahead, he knew there wasn't a moment to spare

As he proceeded onward on the main path, the cacher encountered two forks in his way First he went left, then he went right, continuing through the trees, trying not to stray The rabbit then made an abrupt change of course, jumping over a fence There was a way for the cacher to get over too, so the chase could quickly commence The pursuit continued over a field, at quite a rapid rate The cacher was thankful when he reached solid ground, a bit beyond a white gate

A tad to the right a path went off to the left, up which the rabbit hopped with great haste The cacher had no choice but to follow, if he wanted to know where the cache was placed He then had a choice between three, and he managed to choose the right one He went to the left, and followed the path, spotted the rabbit and broke into a run After running a while he reached a wooden pole, randomly placed next to an open space He followed the rabbit off the path through the grass, toward some white signs he continued the chase

The cacher followed the rabbit to the left on the path, but eventually lost the rabbit from sight As he got to another crossroads he was clueless, should he go straight ahead, left, or right? Then he spotted a note on the ground, so he picked it up off the floor It said "Ha ha, you lost me! But if you want to follow, take the path with a bearing of two two four!" The cacher faithfully followed the instruction, wondering what now to do He continued, and went past a sporting construction that seemed to be almost brand new

He went straight ahead, past another of these, and was tempted to go to the right and sit Instead he had a feeling he should go to the left, and he did so along the path of grit He followed this path, his spirit diminished, he'd almost given up hope But then he saw the rabbit in the distance, and decided to run rather than mope The rabbit was waiting not too far along, next to a red T fixed onto a pole At the crossroads ahead the rabbit hopped on, to the right, towards their common goal

Well in the woods the cacher got nervous, there were just so many paths to explore! But the rabbit shouted out "Take the leftmost paths!", an instruction he didn't ignore The cacher was starting to feel quite lost, when he saw some interesting trees en route He walked between two trees which seemed to have grown out from the very same root Beyond the trees was a huge hole in the ground, but the cacher didn't have time for stopping He could see out of the corner of his eye, that the rabbit had gone right, and was quickly hopping

The cacher followed the path straight ahead for a while, and kept on going west-southwest After a little while he reached a very large tree, which seemed to be laying down for a rest The cacher took a moment to study the tree, but the rabbit didn't stop Along a path left of another fallen growth, toward the southwest, it decided to hop Following in the same direction a while, the cacher encountered a much smaller hole Then the rabbit hopped through the trees south-southwest, now the cacher felt he was in control

He was relieved as they walked out of the woods, and the rabbit now moved at a casual speed Together they walked to the right on the path, for what seemed like quite a distance indeed The rabbit stopped at the next choice of direction, and said to the cacher "Now, look around you One of these signs depicts a horse, you need to go toward where its nose points to" They then walked along the path in silence, and when it split up they first went left, then right The rabbit said "I'm impressed with you cacher, you are nearly there, the cache is almost in sight"

As they approached a monster of metal, they left the main path and went to the right When they got to a sign-post they stood right at it, looked into the distance and enjoyed the sight The rabbit said "I'll be leaving you here, someone else needs my help, you know how it goes Once you are done admiring the view, turn your head to the right, then follow your nose" The cacher waved good-bye to the rabbit, then walked on the path toward his goal Without knowing how, he just knew where to go, as if the rabbit was now a part of his soul

Around twenty five steps further on, a vague path went off past a prickly tree The cacher changed course and followed it, keeping right on the paths he could see He reached a large grey path, and he followed it downwards for quite a while The cacher knew he was getting close, and he started to smile As the walk continued down the road, the cacher saw trees to the left and the right Then the trees on both sides suddenly vanished, instead a field came into his line of sight

A bit further down a smaller path tried to lead him astray, but right past it he strode Instead he walked on a little until he reached the next bend in the road To his right was an opening in the trees, and into it the cacher made his way A few steps in to the left, under some sticks near a prickly bush, that is where the cache lay
