This cache is a small camo jar,located close to the Ericson Lake dam and adjacent to the campground-one of several caches showcasing the great public areas around Lake Ericson! Fishing is great below the dam, which has been in existence since 1916!
You will notice that there has been lots of work done in the area...In June, 2010, over 8" of rain that fell in a two week time period and the resulting flood washed out the emergency spillway for the Lake. The Ericson Lake Corporation Board of Directors has completed all of the repairs to refill the lake, following the guidelines of the Nebraska Department of Natural Resources. All maintenance and work done around the Lake property is done by volunteers dedicated to keeping the area a great place to visit!
