Geocache Description:

This is event will be held from 6PM-8PM on Wednesday October 5th in the Anderson room at the Robert Morgade Library in Stuart. Admission is free.

Heard of geocaching, but don't know much about it? New to geocaching and have questions? Just want to meet fellow geocachers in the Stuart area? Then join me for this event at one of our wonderful local public libraries!

I will be giving a presentation covering the basics of geocaching such as: what is geocaching, how to find a cache, common cache containers, what the different cache types are, and how to log a cache after you've found it.

After the presentation, there should be plenty of time for questions and answers.

In addition to new cachers already active on geocaching.com, this event will be list in the monthly Library Connection so I hope to have a decent turnout of locals who know little or nothing about geocaching.

More experienced cachers are also encouraged to attend to meet other local cachers and to share their experiences and advice with new cachers. You might want to bring your GPS device (for questions/demonstrations), a creative/unusual geocache container to show how diverse caches can be (between what Butterdish is bringing and some loaners from John & Jelene I think we have the typical containers covered), and some trackable items to show the range of those. Much thanks in advance to those who bring something to show.
